Tips for viewing and organizing pages
- Click a hyperlink. Hyperlinks to other pages might be graphical images with colored borders or colored text (usually underlined). The mouse pointer changes to a hand when you move the mouse over a hyperlink.
- To return to the previous page, choose Back on the Go menu.
- To go to the next page, choose Forward on the Go menu.

- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click the Web Content tab.
- Make sure Show Frames is selected.
- On the View menu, choose Refresh.
Tips
- Some pages do not allow you to view them unless you have frames turned on.
- When you refresh a page with frames, the page reverts to its original state.
- When you add a page with frames to your Favorites list, choosing that Favorite item will show you the page with its frames in the original state. You can add comments to the Favorites item to help you remember how to navigate to a particular frame on the page.

Viewing pages
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click the Ratings tab.
- Make sure the Enabled button is selected.
- If you have never set Internet ratings, click Change Password.
- Type a new password. By default, no password is provided.
- Confirm your new password by typing it again.
- Click Add Service.
- Locate and select rsac.rat to use the Recreational Software Advisory Council rating service, or safesurf.rat to use the SafeSurf rating service
- Choose a category and rating level. A description of the selected rating is provided.
Tips
- The Option button provides additional Internet rating controls. For example, you can determine whether unrated sites can be viewed.

- From the File menu, choose Open Location.

To go to a specific place or page on your hard disk
- From the File menu, choose Open File.
- On the Show pull-down menu, choose the type of file you want.
- Find the file you want to open, and then click Open.
Tips
- When using the Open Location dialog box, you can select Open in New Window to display the page in a new window.
- You can also open a page on your hard disk by dragging the page to the Microsoft Internet Explorer window.

- From the Go menu, choose Search The Internet.
Tips
- A search page provides an organized way to find and go to other Internet sites. Many search pages provide searching capabilities, such as the ability to search by topic or by keyword. Others just provide a well-organized list of hyperlinks to selected Internet sites.
- You can change your search page.

- Click and hold on the Go menu. The pages you viewed are at the bottom of the menu. You can go to a page by choosing it from the Go menu.
- For more options, on the Go menu, choose Open History.
- Double-click an item to go to that page.
- Drag an item to the Favorites window to add that page to your favorites list.
- Drag an item to the Desktop to create a shortcut to that page.
- Select an item and, on the File menu, choose Get Info for address, date, and comment information on that item.
Tips
- The icons to the left of each History item represent what type of protocol that item uses.

- You cannot move or delete items in the History window, but you can drag an item to the Trash.
- You can export your History list as an HTML document by clicking the History window to make it active,
and then choosing Export on the File menu.
- You can change the number of items stored in the History list by choosing Preferences on the Edit menu, clicking the Advanced tab, and then changing the number in the History area.
